Travel is in my blood. Born in Durban, South Africa, my family immigrated to Australia when I was four. Growing up in the western suburbs of Sydney, my taste of adventure began to flourish as my tour-leader grandparents brought back thrilling tales, and fascinating outfits and dolls from around the globe.
With my Indian heritage, mindfulness was regularly practised by my grannies and over the years they have inspired me to adopt the same mindset. I have been a yogi for ten years, practising various styles and incorporating meditation in my practice. In 2019 I spent a month in the holy city of Rishikesh, India, undertaking intense yoga teacher training. These days, I teach Ashtanga, Hatha and Yin in Melbourne, Australia.
I hold a Bachelor of Business in Hospitality Management with a sub-major in Tourism, which has led to employment in high-end luxury hotel companies and experiences in many diverse destinations over the past 13 years. Some organisations I have worked with include: Asian Trails, Lizard IncentEvents, HQNZ, Travel Motives South Africa, Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa, Chateau Elan Hunter Valley, Lakehouse Daylesford, Ballie Lodges, Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre, and Byron at Byron Resort & Spa.
In my spare time you will find me getting lost while road tripping (ironically I still cannot follow a GPS), soaking up the sun with a novel in hand (I am a proud book nerd) or planning where to go next.
